Project

McCartney

“Tom’s Pond/Tom McCartney” — League City, Texas

Ecosystem Pond + Wetland Filter + Negative-Edge Reservoir, under Sunken Seating Area

This League City backyard was transformed with a large custom water feature designed for beauty, movement and long-term performance.

This project includes an 8-foot by 10-foot constructed wetland filter built directly into the upper stream section. From there, the water flows into a 15-foot by 20-foot pond, continues through a smaller stream section, and then enters an 1,800-gallon negative edge reservoir located beneath a sunken seating area.

The result is a natural-looking backyard pond and stream system that combines the sound of moving water, advanced pond filtration and a one-of-a-kind outdoor living experience.

Galveston Pondless

“Galveston Spillway Bowl + Pondless Waterfall” — Galveston, Texas

A front-yard pondless waterfall we recently completed in Galveston, built directly into a driveway space.

The design focused on adding the sound and movement of water at the home's entry, while keeping the feature low-maintenance and easy to manage. To do that, we created a pondless system, with a hidden reservoir and recirculating flow— keeping the design clean, contained and easy to manage.

At the top, we incorporated an Aquascape Spillway Bowl Fountain as the headwaters, giving the feature a defined starting point and a steady, controlled flow as the water moves down through the stream.

Friendswood Pond

“Friendswood Ecosystem Pond” — Friendswood, Texas

We built this backyard water feature in Friendswood, transforming a simple lawn into a custom pond with natural stone, aquatic plants and a waterfall.

Starting from a blank side-yard space, we designed and built a balanced ecosystem pond with proper filtration and circulation to keep the water clear and low maintenance. The finished feature gives our client the sound of flowing water, and the soothing sights of lush plants, colorful fish, and a crystalline waterfall... all right outside his home office!

Fountainscape

“Fountainscape” — New Waverly, Texas

This New Waverly, Texas fountainscape was designed to create a true “wow” moment from the second you pull into the driveway.

Built in the center of a front-yard roundabout driveway, this custom water feature includes three Aquascape urn fountains, multiple pooling sections and small waterfalls that all recirculate into a hidden underground 500-gallon basin. The result is a beautiful, low-maintenance fountainscape that can be seen from every angle and heard from the front porch.

The homeowner wanted the same kind of dramatic water feature they had seen on YouTube, and this project delivered. Their own boulders were incorporated into the build, including some of the largest and heaviest rocks we have ever used in a fountainscape construction project.

This project shows how a custom front-yard fountain, 'disappearing' water feature or pondless fountainscape can completely transform a driveway entrance.

FAQ/Q&A

1. How long does a typical custom water feature project take to complete?

The timeline varies by complexity, but most residential projects, such as a mid-sized Koi Pond or Pondless Waterfall, are completed within one to two weeks, weather permitting. We provide a precise schedule during the initial design consultation.

2. Do you build water features in both front and back yards?

Yes, we specialize in maximizing your entire property’s potential. Our portfolio includes many spectacular front yard features, such as entryway Pondless Waterfalls, designed to boost curb appeal and welcome guests.

3. How much maintenance is required for a Pondless Waterfall compared to a Koi Pond?

A Pondless Waterfall requires the least maintenance, typically involving seasonal cleaning and occasional topping off of the reservoir. A Koi Pond, being a living ecosystem, requires routine maintenance like monthly cleaning and water quality checks to keep your fish healthy.

4. What is the difference between a 'Formal' and an 'Ecosystem' water feature?

A Formal water feature uses clean lines and geometric shapes for a sophisticated, modern look, often without aquatic plants. An Ecosystem feature is designed to look natural, integrating rocks, gravel, fish, and plants to create a balanced, low-maintenance, biological filtration system.

5. Are your projects limited to League City, or do you serve other areas?

We are proud to serve all of Galveston County and surrounding areas, including League City, Pearland, Webster, Seabrook, and many other towns across South Texas. We are your local experts for water feature design and installation.

6. Can I get hardscaping like a Paver Patio installed as part of my water feature project?

Absolutely. We offer complete outdoor living solutions, including Paver Patios and Flagstone Walkways. Integrating hardscaping with your new water feature ensures a seamless and cohesive design for your entire outdoor space.

7. How do I start the design process for a custom project?

The first step is to contact us by phone or through our website to schedule an initial consultation. We will discuss your vision, budget, and perform a site evaluation to develop a tailored design plan for your home.

8. Are the fountainscapes you install customizable?

Every Fountainscape we install is custom-designed and built for its specific location. We work with you to select the perfect vessel, bubbling rock, or basalt column to create a unique water feature that complements your landscape.

9. Do you offer a warranty on your water feature installations?

Yes, we stand behind the quality of our craftsmanship and materials. Our installations come with a comprehensive warranty on liners, plumbing, and workmanship, with details provided in your project agreement.

10. What are the typical cost ranges for your custom water feature projects?

As every project is unique, costs vary widely based on size, features, materials, and site conditions. We are happy to provide an accurate, transparent quote once the design consultation and site assessment are complete.
